Levak expects for the coming year that international design styles will be blended for interior decoration, as designers choose from the best of around the world. With eclectic styles, patterns and motifs inspired by American, English, French and Italian styles, diverse interior design is getting stronger and will be seen more prominently in private home design.
For this particular kitchen remodel, Levak was given the task of creating a unique kitchen to add interest to an area that is typically formal and functional. The owner was seeking a mix of materials and color for a glamorously exclusive kitchen space.
Levak used Twill Oro Giallo mosaic to create the stunning yellow gold splashback paired with Stripes Fall tile for the recessed back bar. Set against the predominately high-gloss black countertops, flooring and cooktop, the gold shines brilliantly under pendant halogen downlighting.

Gold tile allows a wide range of luminous effects and shades, particularly because of the diffusion and vibration of light off the gold tesserae. The Bisazza gold mosaic featured in this kitchen makeover comes from the Bisazza Oro Collection, a composition of hand-applied 24-karat gold leaf between two layers of glass, to form Bisazza’s most opulent tile product.
The opulence of glass tile, paired with varying textures, offers a sophisticated palette with a hint of glamour. Gold and black provides a classic, traditional color palette and the mix of textures with shimmering gold (from tan cowhide leather bar stools to gold-leafed Bisazza tiles) gives a strong and modern twist to this practical space.
